Arsenal have had a £16 million offer for Juventus midfielder Mario Lemina rejected by the Italian giants, according to The Sun.

The Gunners have been relatively quiet in the transfer market this summer, with Granit Xhaka the only signing of real note at the North London outfit.

Arsene Wenger’s priorities in the market are believed to be a new central defender and a striker, but the latest report suggests that the Frenchman is keen to land the Juve midfielder also.

Lemina spent last season on loan at the Turin giants from Ligue 1 outfit Marseille, with his move to Italy made permanent by the Serie A side at the end of last season.

However, with an array of midfield talent at Max Allegri’s disposal, the report suggests that the Bianconeri are open to selling Lemina on for a profit.

The report suggests that Juventus are holding out for £20 million for the 22-year-old and it remains to be seen if Arsenal are willing to pay this.
