Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez has stated that he would be interested in a move elsewhere, if a prestigious suitor came in for him this summer.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the Algeria international all summer long but as yet there has been no progress over a possible deal to bring the scintillating winger to the Emirates Stadium.

Mahrez was an essential member of the Leicester team that was crowned English champions last season and won the PFA Player of the Year accolade in the process.

However, with the African attacker shooting to prominence a move to a top European club was expected this summer.

As yet there have not been any confirmed bids from Arsenal or anyone else for the Leicester star but Mahrez has confessed that he would be open to leaving the King Power Stadium should a major suitor come in for him.

“[The Premier League] is a super league and I would like to stay here as long as possible,” he told France Football.

“Now, there are two or three clubs in the world, that if they come for me, it definitely makes you think, if you understand what I am trying to say.”

Arsenal fans will urge Arsene Wenger to break the bank to sign Mahrez.
