Arsenal have been told by Juventus that they must fork out £32 million if they want to land Arturo Vidal this summer.
The Chile international, 28, looks to be on his way out of Juventus and has been heavily linked with a move to the Emirates.
It was suggested that the Gunners were set to sign Vidal after agreeing a £21 million fee with Juventus, but these claims have since been dismissed.
We were then told earlier this week that Real Madrid had won the race for his signature, agreeing a lucrative five-year deal with Vidal after sending representatives to the Copa America.
But this proposed move was once again ruled out, with Tuttomercatoweb, as reported by the Daily Express, suggesting a deal is far from being agreed, with Real’s £25 million offer falling short of Juventus’ demands.
It is understood that Vidal is keeping his options open and is happy to move to a club which can guarantee him a contract worth £5 million-a-year, putting Arsenal on alert.
So if Juventus want £32 million for Vidal, should Arsenal offer it to them and land one of Europe’s most in-demand box-to-box midfielders?

£32 million for Arturo Vidal is not good value. This isn’t because he isn’t a great player. He is. Arsenal, however, do not need another box-to-box midfielder. They have Wilshire, Ramsey, Cazorla, and Rosicky who can play that position at or near a world-class standard.
What Arsenal need is a defensive midfielder to either challenge Coquelin or back him up. In either case, if they were to chase Javi Martinez from Bayern it might be worth a big fee because it is an area of need; but Vidal is not the player Arsenal needs. If he were available for £21 million maybe Arsenal have to sign him because he’s too good a value at that price to ignore him.
Arsenal have a strong squad with needs at DM and perhaps a back up quality CB. I think Arsene Wenger will look for an Ozil/Alexis quality signing and if a player of that caliber becomes available at the right price, the boss will sign him regardless of position or need. If a player like that does not become available at a reasonable price, Arsenal will be satisfied with adding one World Class signing, Petr Cech.

Ozil ran TWICE more than freaking Alexis Sanchez since his January return so you can put that “lazy” Ozil MYTH to rest.
Vidal, whilst excellent, might be another Falcao in the making with his bad knee injury making him quite a risk for that amount of money.
Schneiderlin or Carvalho both are way better options considered what the squad NEEDS despite Vidal being an overall better player now.

when we look at the age of vidal juve’s asking price is too much if juve can beat down the price then i will support it although we need a guy like vidal because some important match like chelsea who like physical football in defence midfielder vidal will help a lot juve should beat down the asking price
