Arsenal will hold talks with Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic in November, according to the player’s agent.
The 21-year-old box-to-box midfielder featured for Croatia during the World Cup in Brazil this summer and has supposedly caught the eye of several clubs from around Europe.
Brozovic’s representative, Miroslav Bicanic, aims to hold talks over possible moves with clubs when Croatia take on USA for an international friendly next month.
Bicanic said:
‘Croatia plays USA in November in London and during our stay there we will hold meetings and negotiate with several English teams.
‘Yes, I can confirm Arsenal are one of them.’
The Gunners reportedly watched the Brozovic in the summer and again last month and will take their interest to the next step before the January transfer window opens.
Brozovic, who has made 86 appearances and contributed 12 goals and 11 assists for Dinamo Zagreb since his move from NK Lokomotiva in 2012, is valued at around the £7 million mark and still has five years left to run on his existing deal.
This would be a strange move to undertake, especially with the player still having a number of years left on his contract.
Arsene Wenger’s best bet is to sign Sami Khedira, who supposedly is ready to join us in the winter.
