Would this problematic striker solve the problem?

Mario BalotelliAfter failing to land a new striker in January, reports in Italy suggest Arsenal are now lining up a summer move for Mario Balotelli.

The majority, if not all of the Emirates faithful were left frustrated at not seeing a forward come in last month despite Arsene Wenger’s ‘efforts’.

Diego Costa was the name many of us wanted to see come in during the January transfer window but the club were instead attempting to land one of Miroslav Klose, Papiss Cisse or Salomon Kalou on loan. Embarrassingly, we failed to do so.

So it seems Olivier Giroud will have to continue leading the line until the end of the season, but Italian publication, Tuttosport, claims the Gunners are keeping a close eye on the controversial Balotelli.

It’s believed the 23-year-old’s relationship with the AC Milan board and management has become strained and with the Serie A club set to miss out on Champions League qualification this season, Balotelli could decide to call it quits at the San Siro in search for European football and has recently expressed an interest in returning to the Premier League.

Although the fiery forward says he would like to work under Jose Mourinho once again, a potential move to Arsenal could well interest Balotelli.

But would you like to see the Italian international at the Emirates next season?

He certainly has the quality but he is a ticking time bomb in my book, and his attitude on and off the pitch is extremely worrying as well.

Do we really want all the drama that comes with Balotelli? The club don’t need it and I’m sure they don’t want it.

Unless Wenger believes he can tame him and develop his game further, then I don’t want to see Balotelli anywhere near our club – even if he has the quality.

Would you like to see Balotelli at Arsenal? Yes or no?

Good write up. To be honest I think it would be a disaster if true.

I don’t know who to buy, there are plenty of blogs out there telling Arsene who to buy, I just want the best we can do. I would prefer it to be a Londoner, however, not many Lodoners are scoring the number of goals to win a title.

I am confident a striker will turn up in the Summer. Probably late, its a WC year and we just love to do it late.

Niki is likely to go, so is Park.

That means we have Wellington, Campbell, Afobe and Akpom to make a decision on as well as Giroud. Podolski may still make an impact as a CF and give us another option. However, that seams unlikely.

Whatever happens 4 points over our next two games sets us up for a big finish. I fancy beating Man City at home and the Chavs have not been convincing, apart from last night of course.
However, I don’t think they will attack us like they did City. I don’t believe that was the plan. The plan was to stifle, however, City without the ball gave the Chavs confidence to attack hence the even game.

    COME ON THE GUNNERS

Oh please not that! Let him go to Spain. The Gunners doesn’t need that drama and neither does the EPL. Not worth the effort for the little return the Gunners could hope to get.

The guy’s worst enemy is himself. Until he realises this and deals with it he will always be a problem to all, himself included. At 23, he still has a chance to make a turn around but time is running out.
