Toni Kroos could be on his way out of Bayern Munich at the end of the season as the Bundesliga and current European champions are unwilling to give meet the player’s wage demands.
The 24-year-old has been an integral part of the Bayern set up for several seasons but with only less than 18 months left to run on his current deal, a contract stand-off and a reported bust-up with Pep Guardiola after the Stuttgart game, the Bayern coach is now open to the idea of selling the creative midfielder, according to The Daily Express.
It’s believed Kroos wants to up his wages from £60k-a-week to an astonishing £150k-a-week and Bayern are unwilling to hand him such a pay rise.
Arsenal have been credited with interest in the German international in the past and will be alerted by the player’s latest developments at the Allianz Arena.
It is unknown how much Bayern will want for Kroos if he is put up for sale in the summer, but it could well be somewhere in the region of £25-30 million.
If Arsene Wenger fails to land Julian Draxler in the summer then a move for Kroos would be an ideal one for the Frenchman to make. To be honest I think he is even better than the Schalke playmaker.
Known for his sublime technique, passing range and awareness, Kroos would certainly suit our style of play and would link up superbly with countrymen Lukas Podolski and Mesut Ozil if he were to join.
I hope Arsenal show interest in Kroos in the summer as I believe we could give him what he wants in terms of a wage package and first and foremost, the German would be a quality signing for the club.
