So far in this summer transfer window Arsene Wenger has only managed to sign one player, a France Under-21 international who goes by the name of Yaya Sanogo from Auxerre on a free, and has shifted a lot of deadwood, which has taken me aback a little.
Arsenal continue to pursuit Luis Suarez and have newly targeted Bayern Munich’s Luiz Gustavo as another potential recruit this summer.
However, if the Frenchman fails to land either of the two abovementioned names, or any other player for that matter, he insists his side are strong enough to challenge for the Premier League title this season. I don’t think so, and Sky Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp also believes the same.
The former Liverpool midfielder says there is still plenty of time for The Gunners to seal some deals but insists the north London club cannot win the Premier League with their current squad and the Suarez’s deal looks dead in the water:
‘Where are the signings the Arsenal board promised?
‘Whoever told them they could get Luis Suarez for £40million plus £1 appears to have got their information wrong, because that’s not how Liverpool see it. That deal seems dead.
‘There is still time for Arsenal to add to their squad, but they must feel embarrassed at the lack of impact on the market so far.
‘Arsene Wenger says he can still win the league with the players he has. I say he can’t.’
Redknapp went on to say that Wenger can lead his side to a top four finish though, but has questioned whether this will be good enough for the club and Arsenal faithful:
‘But that doesn’t mean they won’t still wriggle into fourth place again, because he has a habit of doing that. Is that good enough?’
I don’t’ know where we are at with the move for Suarez. Like Jamie says, it looks like this won’t be happening. If it does, then it will be a last minute thing.
As for our current squad winning the Premier League? I can’t see this happening. We have a good group of players at the club but they struggled to clinch a top four finish last season, and unless Wenger bolsters the side in the upcoming weeks we will be doing the same this season which won’t be good enough in my opinion.

What a visionary Redknapp is by predicting that we would only finish top four. After selling 18 players and bringing in someone who wanted to be a postman what an educated prediction that was. Redknapp is just like his old man – a complete C**T..

Redknapp brain have gone twitchy like his old boy. Father and son has a pathological hatred for everything Arsenal. The good thing is that we’ve always beaten Liverpool except on few occasions and when Harry was in charge at spuds we always come up tops. Arsenal is better than Liverpool and spuds. I hope they enjoy their hate filled thot on Arsenal, but I promise them that no matter the way our season pan out, it a will always be better than spuds and loserpool.

It is true that Arsenal are now a faltering club they have been going backwards for quite a while each season getting that little bit worse. Jamie is a bit dim but he is right there is no way hosehh Arsenal will win the league this year not in a million years they are not very good.
The problem with arsenal is basically from those who call themselves gooners.you shameless gunners know the problem with our beloved club but would not say it,and when somebody says it, that person becomes your enemy.now just tell me:what exactly is wrong with what the man said?For me,everything he said is the exact truth which we true gunners feel sorry about and hope his prediction never come to pass.however,i have this feeling from some of the comments that,should arsenal get relegated whiles finishing above spuds and liver,some gunners will be happy and boast about it.what a pitty?
