So Arsenal are supposedly keen on bringing Luis Suarez to The Emirates this summer.
Reports suggest The Gunners tabled an opening £30 million offer for the Uruguay international, but it was turned down by Liverpool who will listen to nothing less than £40 million for the 26-year-old.
Arsenal are said to be preparing a second offer for Suarez (£35 million this time) but this bid looks set to be rejected once again.
Suarez had a very productive season for Liverpool last season despite their poor league position, contributing 30 goals and five assists in a total of 40 appearances. However, the Uruguayan has revealed his desire to play Champions League football next season, leaving Liverpool and the player himself in a difficult predicament.
Only Arsenal and Real Madrid are reportedly interested in Suarez but if either club want to get their hands on the clinical finisher then they must be prepared to meet Liverpool’s valuation.
Despite being an incredible footballer, Suarez remains a controversial figure in the game, with many fans around the world and pundits alike being left appalled by his on-field behaviour in recent seasons.
However, despite all that has happened in recent years, I would like to know from as many Arsenal fans out there reading this if they would like to see Suarez sign for us this summer.

Well, here is how I see it. We’ve lost out on Higuain. Suarez is a 30+ goal striker with premier league experience. He is second only to RVP, who is clearly not going to come back to Arsenal any time soon. Yes, he is controversial, but perhaps Wenger can work that out of him. The only other striker I can see us getting on par with Suarez is Yilmaz, who would be a cheaper option, but doesn’t have the premiership experience. Suarez is Uruguay’s all time top scorer. He also has a style of play that really matches Arsenal’s play. What the hell is the problem?
I agree with this fully. I would personally love Suarez at the club. He has the ability to help bridge the gap between Arsenal and the other top clubs. He is a game changer and can finally bring trophies back to us Gooners
deluded arsenal fans luis will never go to arsenal. 1 he wants to win things, how many years?? 2 he wants to win champions league, that will never happen at arsenal. 3 he’ll cost in excess of 40 million, when have arsenal ever paid that sort of money. 4 he’ll want 150,000 a week wages, when have arsenal ever paid that to a player. so in a nutshell if he wants to earn 80,000 a week play for a team that will never win the premier league or the champions league and in fact never win a trophy arsenal is the answer. Can’t see it boys. sorry to say but the dream of suarez is over not that it would ever have happened anyway!

Suarez does not cost up to that level, flash back and see what happen to chelsea when they bought Torres at the rate of 50million pounds.
Every Arsenal fan must knows that the club stands for certain values — give or take the odd lapse, our players have a well developed sense of fairness, and the club try to conduct their business in an ethically upright way. “Character issues” were always a fast track to the exit door in our club. So however good a footballer is, you wouldn’t want a bitey racist cheat in our ranks. Buy Higuan, buy Fellaini, but please not Suarez.

Cavani is not as good as Suarez and he was bought for 53mils.if we are really serious abt competing for trophies then we need to sign suarez now.40 mils is even cheap 4 d player when you consider d figure being bandied for other players who are not as good as him.

This^^ he made it clear he wants to join Real, so as soon the madrid club makes a good offer accepted by LFC , he will be heading for spain ,some rumours say he already have personal terms agreed with Real just in case the 2 clubs agree on a fee

IrishGooner is right, assuming Higuain has gone, who else is left. Suarez is rapidly becoming the only option. i have to say I am hacked off. If the papers are to be believed, and it’s a big if I admit, but we could have added a backbone of Ceaser, Williams, Fellani and Huigain to the team for just about the legendary 70 million. Add those four and we might just have been competitive next season. It is starting to look like we won’t get any one of the calibre we need, never mind 4 players.
Well of your list of 4 as I see it all 4 are still at their current clubs. I am not sure if everyone has noticed but there is 46 days of the transfer window still remaining. There will be signings for most teams right up until the deadline. As for suarez why not? No one will care about his biting or name calling antics if he is holding aloft a trophy or two. I would rather take suarez than higuain anyday. You cannot beat proven epl goalscorers. Well worth the extra 10m.
