‘No-one from Arsenal has come to us and made us any offers at all for him’

higuainJust when we thought Gonzalo Higuain was on his way to The Emirates, after reportedly sealing a £23 million move and agreeing terms with the north London club, it, according to Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, doesn’t seem to be the case.

Perez claimed that there have been no offers from Arsenal for the 25-year-old striker and also suggests Higuain is still wanted at the La Liga club, despite being told by the Real hierarchy at the end of the last season that he will be sold.

However, in an interview with Univision, Perez said:

‘We don’t want Higuain to leave.

‘What’s more no-one from Arsenal has come to us and made us any offers at all for him. There are no offers on the table.’

I’m starting to worry about this potential move to be honest. Something doesn’t seem to be adding up here.

First off he was told he could leave Real by the club’s management, now the president claims they still want him on their books. Then we hear by both Higuain’s brother and father that a move to Arsenal is close and talks are at an advanced stage. But how long does it take to tie up a player? Surely by now everything would’ve have been agreed and in place.

I don’t know who to believe anymore and am starting to wonder whether or not we are actually targeting the Argentine this summer.

Let’s see where this goes.

Arsenal is agreat England club and 4 this reason, let the management stop blindfolding fans. This creates shame! Let the club sign better players. Wenger should remind himself that he sold Rvp to our greatest rivals. Its time to cover the gurp; huiguins(Reals striker). “Wenger, concider the passion of fans thiz season, Sir Alex left all the glorry in England at ur hands”

I will only believe wenger after seeing a new player given a shirt number at arsenal. That would be a done deal.

I fear that the only signing Arsenal will make in terms of strikers has already been made. The 192cm french kid made of glass, will “win us some silverware”. What a shame.

if that is true how come yesterday it was ‘we want more’ and then of course AFC leak a vague rumour of 30m suarez then RM say this. all gamesmanship

  • Clarence Wyllie says:

My firm belief is that Arsenal will not buy a player beyond the 20 million mark. Wenger and the board keep holding arsenal fans at random. Watch a shame. Same old khaki pants

  • Dean says:

Real Madrid and their pres is behaving like kids. At the end of last season the president came on the news and announce that Higuain would have been leaving. So much details and direct quots from his agents could not all have been made up.
