Too high, too low, or just right?

Robin van Persie’s endless contract saga has no doubt caused a stir in the football world.

The Daily Mirror claimed over the weekend that Arsenal are willing to make the Dutchman their highest paid player in the club’s history, with reports suggesting they will offer him around £130,000-a-week. However, if another club offers Van Persie £250,000-a-week then Arsenal would not be able to compete, as claimed by Gunners chairman Peter Hill-Wood. Though it must be said, not many clubs would be able to offer him that kind of money.

Manchester City have already been ruled out as a possible destination by Robin’s dad, Bob van Persie, which leaves Qatari owned Paris St. Germain and Russian League big-spenders Anzhi as the only other cash cows keeping tabs on the Dutchman. Juventus are equally on the hunt for his signature as well.

The Mirror reckons Arsenal are ready to sell Robin this summer, should other clubs offer him a better deal. It wasn’t long ago Arsene Wenger said he would rather let Van Persie leave on a free next season than lose him in the summer.

But before anyone can begin to think of signing the Arsenal striker they will have to deal with the reported £30 million price-tag.

Is it a reasonable amount for one of the world’s finest strikers? I don’t think so.

In my opinion it would’ve been a rational price tag 3-4 years ago.

To be honest, I think the supposed price-tag is a little inflated. Considering his age and his bad luck with injuries, I think it should have been around the £20-25 million region. But since money now rules football, why not? Let’s see how interested these clubs are in RVP

Should Arsenal really let him go? By the time the bidding is done it could possibly reach the £45 million mark! Money that would surely be used to strengthen the squad this summer.

Is the £30 million price-tag too high, too low, or just right?

The £30m price tag on RVP transfer saga is okay, cause RVP is one of the best striker in the world, wich is very obvious, last season he is the highest goal scorer in the EPL and he was the one who fly ARSENAL to CHAMPIONS LEAGUE for the next coming season 2012/13. I think the £30m price tag is okay for any club who need the service of RVP.
