Arsenal target and Rennes midfielder Yann M’Vila continues to be linked with a move to The Emirates this summer, and his latest comments suggests he wants to make the switch after the Euros.
The France international said:
‘I have heard Arsenal are interested in me, I like Arsenal and I like the Premier League.’
He added:
‘I don’t know what is happening with the clubs, but yes, I would be interested in the Premier League and Arsenal.’
Arsenal may face competition from Inter Milan for his signature, but the Gunners remain favourites, especially after 21-year-old’s latest comments. In addition, we are also able to offer him Champions League football, unlike Inter Milan.
I stick by my thoughts that M’Vila would be a great signing for the club. Despite his lack of form in Euro 2012, I believe he would be a hit for Arsenal. A lot of people have said that he hasn’t done much so far at Euro 2012 and I see their point. However, nor did Robin van Persie and we wouldn’t want him to leave. All I am saying is that you can’t judge a player on a single tournament.
We’ll have to wait and see if M’Vila does in fact sign for the club. My gut feeling tells me that he will and so will his national compatriot Olivier Giroud.
