Why Wenger should just get rid of this man rather than loan him out

Lukasz Fabianski has complained about the lack of first-team opportunities at the club this season, and has, in the lead up to the January transfer window, been contemplating a loan move away from Arsenal.

Of course a move away never ensued, as I believe no club showed any real interest in his services, and I think Arsene Wenger wanted to keep him as a back up option to Wojciech Szczesny, who is clearly seen as our no.1.

The Pole does want to play for Arsenal, but it doesn’t seem he will, especially as long as Szczesny remains fit.

Let’s face it, Fabianski will not be seen from now until the end of the season and with the summer transfer window on the horizon, there is a high possibility that he could leave the club for good!

Young Birmingham shot-stopper Jack Butland has been scouted and Damian Martinez, who is highly thought of at the club, is starting to make an impression in the reserves and could become Wenger’s no.2 next season.

To be honest, if Wenger does decide to sign Butland or promote Martinez even, then the Frenchman might as well just sell Fabianksi altogether. I know this may sound harsh, but we wouldn’t miss him, would we?

Fabianski is out of contract this summer apparantly. While Martinez would be better off with a loan and Arsenal signing an experienced keeper, like Jussi from Bolton.

But I digress, what have I told you about your scatter gun approach to blogging? Whats wrong with one post a day FFS? 🙂

I’d get rid of Almunia and Fabianski. No point paying their wages. Manonne will probably want too leave too. Jussi is available on a free. He isn’t first choice at Bolton so the lure of possible cl football should persuade him to sit on our bench. Plus I would expect him to be on low wages already. Shea 3rd choice and send Martinez on loan for a couple seasons.

Yes it’s a bit harsh but true. We may need an experience GK as back up but Jussi is probably way past his best to even be considered a back up goalkeeper. We should be looking at more of a Rob Green.

Wenger Should have enough courage to rid Arsenal from all the hopeless players including Fabiansky and never fit Abu Diaby and the other eight repeatedly mentioned in the Press Chamakh , Bendtener , Denilson , Arshavin , Squalicy ,Almuni ,
Vella, Park and possibly others if he is really talking about quality and not numbers that will save money and give the chance to many quality players to join Arsenal.

      Could not agree more mate,
AW tend to be a bit soft on certain players, with the hope that the players will not be demoralize if they are dropped, ie Bendtner, Chamakh, Denilson, Vela, Diaby
Diaby would be a shame, he clearly have bags if talent, but for how long we will have to wait till he fulfill his potential? & what is the possibility that he would never get injured in the future?
For me Lansubury has been victim of this situation, i am sure he can make us proud, if only AW give him a chance

Should sign Udinese’s GK or Adler as backups..

as the two of the mentioned keeper’s contract ending this summer

Fabianski will for ever rue the injury he picked up during warm up against Manchester City last season. He was getting a string of games and was putting in good work. The injury forced him out for several months and by the time he had recovered, his place as #1 GK was gone. Szczesny is excellent in the air and at short distance but is still raw and needs to improve his distribution and long distance shot positioning before he can be considered a great GK. AW has made his mind up up so Fab will most likely move on.

  • Gooner11 says:

brrrrrrrr…… Fabianski hardly kept clean sheets…

Always will be Flappianski to me.

Never confident on crosses and if I hear he was a good shot stopper again, he a goal keeper FFS. Thats his job !
