Arsenal are tracking down Swedish prospect Niclas Eliasson, according to several reports.
The 16-year-old was spotted by the Gunners during a training camp session in the summer, and have offered the young left-winger, who can also play as a striker, a weeks trial at the club which started this Monday.
Speaking about his opportunity with Arsenal, Eliasson said:
‘It feels fantastic to be given the opportunity at such a large and nice club as Arsenal FC. I have worked so hard for this and it means very, very much to me.’
Chelsea and Juventus are also reportedly keen on the Falkenbergs FF youngster, who has been referred to as the ‘Swedish Neymar’ due to his technical ability and similar appearance. However, Arsenal, who managed to acquire fellow Swede Kristoffer Olsson, appear to be in pole position to land Eliasson – especially if he impresses on his trial.
