Arsenal youngster Benik Afobe claims he is being targeted by ten Championship clubs, Glasgow Rangers and an unnamed Premier League side.
The 18-year-old, who was loaned out to Huddersfield Town last season, is currently recovering from a hip injury but insists he’s in-demand this month:
‘Personally, I’d love to stay here at Arsenal because you learn so much from the first-team regulars on a daily basis, but we’ll see how things go when I’m fully fit.
‘A lot of teams have been asking when I’ll be fully fit again, including around ten Championship clubs and Glasgow Rangers, plus a Premier League team, but I won’t be going anywhere just yet due to my injury.’
Although Afobe would love to remain at Arsenal and learn from the first-team regulars, in order to develop your talent and gain experience is by playing football on a regular basis, even if it’s at a lower level.
I don’t think Afobe will get much playing time at Arsenal this season, so a loan move away from The Emirates this January would be best for the young forward.
For obvious reasons, I hope he seals a move to the unnamed Premier League side.
