Ligue 1 strugglers Valenciennes are reportedly interested in taking Arsenal youngster Ryo Miyaichi on loan in January.

The 18-year-old tricky winger made his debut for The Gunners in the Carling Cup earlier this season, but has since found it hard to get games in the first-team and will most probably find himself someway down the pecking order once he recovers from his ankle injury.

As a result, Arsene Wenger, who signed Miyaichi on a free last January, may be tempted to loan out the Japanese whizzkid in order for him to gain more first-team experience.

Miyaichi spent the second half of last season out on loan at Feyenoord where he impressed the Dutch media with his skill and movement, earning him the nickname ‘Ryodinho’.

Now Valenciennes are ready to try their luck and will attempt to seal a similar type of deal for the Japan Under-19 international in January, as they are in desperate need of reinforcements upfront.
