It appears that plenty of transfer rumours are going to be popping up from now until when the window re-opens in January. The latest player to be linked with a move to the Emirates is Napoli starlet Lorenzo Insigne.

Insigne is a product of the Napoli youth system and has spent his early career plying his trade and making a name for himself out on loan.

Last season the 20-year-old spent the year out on loan with Foggia, where he made 34 appearances for the Italian side, scoring 19 goals along the way.

This season he is with another Italian side, Serie B outfit Pescara, and has continued his form from the previous loan that started put him in the spotlight, scoring 2 goals in 6 appearances already this season for the Delfini.

It is thought that Manchester City are also interested in the player, but let’s be honest, I don’t know a player (other than Tevez) that City don’t want to sign!

Those who are keeping up with the Under-21 competitions may recognise Insigne. The youngster made his debut appearance for the Italy Under-21’s, where he managed to score 2 goals in the 7-2 win over Lichtenstein last week.

Insigne, who stands at 5’4’’ and is known for his skill and technical ability, is a striker by trade, but can also be deployed as an attacking midfielder.

Here is a video of the youngster in action:
