Gunners ponder winter move for Toulouse defender

|

Arsenal scouts in France are tracking the progress of Toulouse left-back Aymen Abdennour, with a possible January bid supposedly on the cards, according to talkSPORT.

The 22-year-old Tunisian moved to the Ligue 1 outfit from Etoile du Sahel in the summer and has impressed in France already.

It is believed that The Gunners knew all about Abdennour before he sealed his move to Toulouse. Arsenal scouts monitored the left-back, who can also play in midfield, intently during his loan spell at Werder Bremen in 2010.

The 6’2’’ Tunisia international turned down the opportunity to make his loan deal to Bremen a permanent one and instead opted to sign for Toulouse, where he made 7 appearances.

Reports suggest that Arsenal will continue to monitor Abdennour’s progress ahead of a possible bid for him when the winter window opens.
