Has this forward got his confidence back as Wenger claims?

Arsene Wenger reckons Andrey Arshavin is finding his best form again after his goal against Swansea on Saturday.

Many have criticised the 30-year-old forward’s form and ineffective displays over the last season, but Wenger believes the diminutive Russian is on his way back to his best following a spell where he lost his confidence and self belief.

Quoted on talkSPORT.com, the Frenchman said:

‘Andrey Arshavin has a great spirit, when he doesn’t fancy it he lacks confidence I feel. It’s never because he doesn’t want it.’

‘You should see him practice, attitude wise he is fantastic but he had lost confidence for a while and it had affected his game and now I think he’s back to full confidence.’

I always have and always will admire Arshavin’s technical ability – in my opinion, the man oozes class. Granted, he still a little lazy at tracking back, but he is working on this and not many out there would doubt the skill and dexterity the Russian possesses – he is a game changing player for us.

I truly hope we see the real Andrey Arshavin stand up this season and that he silences his critics once and for all.

I doubt really if some fans and the manager understand this game. Arshavin was nowhere in that game though he scored the goal but he was bad, doesn’t track back and his passing is becoming poor every week. As for those fans who sing praises for Arshavin need to watch the game again wearing eye spectacles as they don’t seem to see clear. it is time Arsene put this guy on the bench and bring players who wants to fight. him and Walcott they are both stupid sorry to say this but I fear the worse in coming weeks. Aterta was the man to watch in that midfield he is marvelous to watch. I like him.
