Jack Wilshere yesterday confirmed reports that he is in fact going to be out of action for another 2-3 months.

The England international confirmed his injury news via his Twitter account:

‘I can confirm I will be out for around 2-3 months. I am working hard in the gym to stay fit and I am gutted but I will be back stronger!’

The latest news will undoubtedly come as a bitter blow to Arsenal and their fans following a poor start to the Premier League campaign, which has seen them pick up 1 point out of 9.

With the loss of Wilshere ‘til November, The Gunners will now need to gel as a unit and produce the goods on the field if they want to be considered serious title contenders – much will depend on how the new players link up with each other and team results.

Not only do Arsenal have injury problems to worry about, but the first 3 games of the season have left us with suspensions aplenty, which is worrying to see. Fortunately, Frimpong and Song will be back for Arsenal’s game against Blackburn on the 17th of September. I am also hoping that Bacary Sagna and Thomas Vermaelen will be back for this weekend’s game against Swansea.

So, Will Arsenal survive without Wilshere ‘til November?

In all seriousness, this truly depends on which Arsenal team turns up from now until then. Is it going to be the shaken team that has only scored 2 goals so far this season, or is it going to be the spirited Arsenal we all know and love that go out, play superb football and reap the rewards?

The truth is nobody knows how we will get on, but the game against Swansea this weekend, which I will have the pleasure of attending, will certainly tell a lot.

With the amount of international goals the squad have scored last week, I am optimistic and hope that some of them can bring this to Arsenal so we can start sorting out our ridiculous goal difference.

yes of course. We have Ramsey which is kind of a similar player.

The mocking laugh is a bit much. You’re right that they aren’t similar but to suggest that Ramsay is WAY below Wilshere is very unfair. They are 2 very different midfielders and both of their games need work in different areas. Ramsay’s end product is miles in front and he’s much more likely to go for something audacious. Also bear in mind that he missed nearly a year at a very important age.
Don’t get me wrong, I think Wilshere has future Arsenal captain written all over him but don’t sell the young Wales captain short.

100% agree 2 very different players, really can’t compare Wilshere and Ramsey.

I think both players are fantastic and the futures bright, the futures Arsenal

Why not?!! Wot r we talking abt. Attacking midfield? Already sought or sorted. Defensive midfield? A lot of replacement. Wilshere s availability is still a cogent need.

Let`s get things into prospective. Are we saying Arsenal is relying on the fitness of a nineteen year old to survive? Hell , something has to be wrong. I think not.
