British running ace to sport exclusive NIKEiD Arsenal spikes

|

British distance running ace and die hard Gooner, Mo Farah, was last night presented a pair of exclusive NIKEiD Arsenal-inspired Zoom Victory spikes, ahead of his race this Friday at Crystal Palace.

The 28-year-old athlete, who has won 6 gold and 4 silver medals in various championships around the globe, attended a Nike event in London last night – where he passed on advice to up to 75 young track and field hopefuls – will be sporting the unique NIKEiD Arsenal footwear this Friday at Crystal Palace, when he partakes in the 5000m event.

Farah, who has been an Arsenal fan since the age of 9, recently received a congratulatory message from Arsene Wenger for his efforts in the European Championships and wished him the best for tomorrow:

The Frenchman wrote:

‘Congratulations Mo, winning the 10,000m at the European Championships was a marvellous achievement. I know you are a passionate Arsenal fan and we are all hoping you can repeat the achievement in the 5,000m.’

Following the Crystal Palace event, Farah will then turn his attention to the World Championships next month in Daegu, South Korea, where he will compete for the gold in the 10,000m event.

Here are some shots of the Arsenal-inspired Zoom Victory spikes that Farah will be wearing:

I would like to thank Naomi Matthews who works for Nike’s PR agency, Freud Communications, for providing me with the images.
