Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger may be forced into offloading one of his star players, following the serious interest shown by two of Italy’s heavyweights.

Inter Milan and Juventus are keen to sign Samir Nasri this summer, according to the player’s agent.

Nasri has been involved in stalling contract negotiations for six weeks now, and ultimately has decided he wants out of the club, having failed to win a piece of silverware in six seasons.

His agent, Alain Miglaccio, confirmed the interest shown by the two Serie A sides in a recent interview, with the report going onto suggest that both clubs are preparing lucrative deals for the Frenchman.

Miglaccio affirmed to Calciomercato.com:

‘Inter Milan and Juventus asked for him – AC Milan did not.’

Despite Wenger desperately wanting to keep hold of his key midfielder, he may be tempted into selling him to an Italian club, as opposed to a direct rival such as Manchester United.

I think if wenger should get the right prize, he should allow him to go. Because keeping such players will be detriment to the team, wenger should as a matter of urgency go straight to the market for his replacement

  • The candid gooner says:

Enough of this transfer saga.. It’s time we move on,, sell him to Italy,, get the cash,, strenghten the squad!

  • nicky says:

It all depends on how serious Nasri is about leaving Arsenal. If new signings during the current Window are significant, it may well convince him that his future is at the Emirates.
If they are NOT, then it would be best if he departed, preferably for the Continent.

  • Tonia Reeves says:

Even if Wenger sells Nasri, he won’t strengthen the team; he would rather say, “he still has other mid-fielders; like he said, “Gibbs can replace Clichy.” As we are aware, there is a need for another CD; if not, I foresee a mass exodus of players next season.

Nasri hasnt been at arsenal for 6 seasons…has he?

    Think he joined in 2008

    • piero says:

think he meant arsenal hasnt won silverware in 6 seasons- lets hope thats like a volcano building up and now ready to erupt. depends on MR WENGER

  • Allen says:

our French economist should not trade Nasri for whatever reason, Nasri is like the Spinal Cord to the Arsenal team

    • Odu says:

But if he wants to leave, he should go. Wenger has turned the tam into something else. No hope about winning anything now or in the new future. The present players are not good enough and the coach does not want to reinforce. So any ambitious player will want to leave. Until Wenger is sacked or fans avoid the stadium, nothing will change

Nasri can go, im sick of fake players using us as a stepping stone. sell the little greedy prat to spain and get a replacement. i can see wenger saying ramsey can fill his place though so its a hard decision. better than having him on loan for a season at the cost o f20 million though for sure!

  • Zeal says:

Sell d bastard boss & a better player

  • 1-eight-7 says:

Question for you guys: When was the last time Wenger replaced a player like for like?!

    So Nasri should stay on!

That tight-fisted manager won’t invest the money.

  • Dayo says:

Loosing the will to compete is pathetic, last season we were 2 players away from trophy and now 1 more player down and two other starters planing to go, i am afriad o. All thesame gooners till trumpet sound.
