Arsenal are preparing a £2 million move for Mexican starlet Carlos Fierro, according to reports.

The 16-year-old striker, who currently plays for Chivas Guadalajara Reserves, claimed 4 goals and 5 assists in 7 appearances at the Under-17 World Cup in Mexico recently.

Fierro was voted the third best player at the tournament and has been compared to Manchester United forward Javier Hernandez.

The Gunners are reportedly interested in acquiring the services of the 5’7’’ forward this summer, but would be prepared to loan the youngster back to Chivas and arrange a friendly against the Mexican club in the near future.

It is understood that Tottenham and Bundersliga outfit Hoffenheim are also keeping tabs on the player as well.
