The Arsenal side that will take on Southampton this weekend looks set to be markedly different to the one that has featured in the Premier League so far this season, with The Telegraph giving an update on a host of Gunners players.

Alex Iwobi is seemingly set to return to the first-team fold after recovering from injury and is in consideration for a starting berth.

However, Aaron Ramsey will not be available to feature as his rehabilitation away from the action continues.

The report suggests that new faces Shkodran Mustafi and Lucas Perez will be added to Arsene Wenger’s contingent for the clash with Claude Puel’s men.

The German defender is being tipped to start at centre-half alongside Laurent Koscielny, while the Spanish attacker is likely to take a place on the bench.

Finally, French striker Olivier Giroud is being tipped to get his first start of the new campaign after being granted an extended summer break following his exertions at Euro 2016.
