Arsenal-linked midfielder talks up English switch

|

Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot has admitted that he is interested in playing in English football one day, sparking more rumours that he could end up at Arsenal.

The gifted French central midfielder has been linked with a switch to the Emirates Stadium over time, with new rumblings in TelFoot following his latest claims.

Rabiot was formerly on the books of Manchester City but left the Etihad Stadium to take up a place in the French capital city side’s youth ranks.

The young technician has since made an impression at the Parc de Princes but is not guaranteed a regular starting berth in Unai Emery’s team due to the amount of international players at the Spanish coach’s disposal.

Rabiot has confessed that he likes the Premier League and envisages himself playing in English football’s top flight in the future.

“I really liked my time in England and the life there, even outside of football,” he told Telefoot.

“I told myself that I will return one day I have always had the desire to play in England, it is in me. The Premier League – that is football.”

Arsenal are well complemented in central midfield currently, so much that Jack Wilshere has been sent out on loan to Bournemouth.
