With the squad cohesion coming along well and a decent amount of depth in most positions it would be naive to think we can go without a few more new signings from now until the end of the season.
Juan Camilo Zuniga has been linked with a move away from Napoli despite being offered a new contract. Zuniga has an option of leaving under the bosman ruling next summer as he is yet to commit his future to the Serie A club.
With Arsenal, Barcelona and Juventus looking the most likely contenders for his signature, Napoli are keen to ensure he puts pen to paper on a new deal which would feature a £17 million release clause within it in an attempt to ward off any potential suitors.
But should Arsenal target the 27-year-old? More so, would the Colombian be a welcome addition to the squad?
He is a very talented player in my opinion. He possesses great pace, a high-work rate, good level of concentration and also has the ability to read the game well. To add to that, Zuniga is an excellent marker, good tackler and can make a nuisance of himself when getting forward as he does have excellent dribbling, crossing and passing abilities.
His natural position is as a left wing-back, though he can play as a full-back on either flank as well as a wide left or right winger.
I for one wouldn’t mind seeing him come in. His wealth experience can only be beneficial to the side and would certainly challenge for a place in the starting line-up. If the price is right and Napoli are keen to sell then Arsene Wenger should definitely consider a move for the Colombia international.
