Wow! Let me catch my breath. What a wonderful game. A fantastic north London Derby to cherish. What a performance, a stunning 5-2 victory. Stunned, absolute stunned.

We started off slowly but picked it up. Even when we went 2 down, we showed that the game was ours to win.

Here are my Arsenal player ratings for today:

Wojciech Szczesny – He conceded two goals, all be it both were lucky ones for Spurs – a deflection and a penalty which should never have been given. But to be honest, apart from those moments, the 21-year-old didn’t have much to do – 6.5/10

Bacary Sagna – Mr. Consistent was exceptional today. Kept Gareth Bale quiet, made good runs forward, one of course which helped set up a goal. Scored a wonderful header which sparked the revival – 7.5/10

Thomas Vermaelen – The Belgian seemed to be a bit off the pace in the opening stages. He looked a bit out of sorts in his natural role after playing left-back the past few weeks. Left some huge gaps in the back-line, but did settle as the game went on. Won most of his duels and broke up play well. Made vital clearances and tackles – 7/10

Laurent Koscielny – Won most aerial battles, made good trademark bursts forward, defended well and had Emmanuel Adebayor into his back pocket. A bit suspect in the opening minutes but settled into the game – 7.5/10

Kieran Gibbs – Much like Sagna, Gibbs did what he does best, made good runs and kept his position well. Kyle Walker and Bale ran at him a few times, but the youngster managed to keep them both at bay – 7/10

Mikel Arteta – Bossed the midfield. Distributed the ball brilliantly, got stuck in, set up the first goal and made vital interceptions. Great performance from the Spaniard – 8/10

Alex Song – With Arteta alongside him, Song just makes the centre of the park his playground. Set up a lovely ball for Walcott’s second, defended well and made some tough tackles…Scotty who? 8/10

Tomas Rosicky – Man of The Match, like Van Persie, our number 7 was un-playable today. Made some brilliant passes, good interceptions and scored a goal – 9/10

Yossi Benayoun – With Andrey Arshavin away, Yossi took his starting opportunity by the horns. He was excellent, certainly wasn’t going to be pushed about. Made some good runs, played some lovely balls here and there and looked threatening on the counter – 7.5/10

Theo Walcott – In all honesty, his first half was a ‘hands over eyes’ performance. Lucky not to be given the hook at the interval after some poor passes and the occasional bad decision making. His second half performance was much better, scored two goals which were easy on the eye. He would have had a higher rating if not for the first 45 – 8/10

Robin van Persie – His runs were good, held the ball up well to set up Theo’s first and scored a wonderful curler to level matters before the second half. It’s like Arsene Wenger was playing FIFA 12, a finesse shot beautifully placed into the top corner – 8.5/10

Carl Jenkinson – Replaced Gibbs in the 75th minute. Thought he would be outrun with the pace of the game, proved me wrong. Held his own for 15 minutes – 6/10

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain – Didn’t get much of a look in upfront, but could have if Van Persie had played him in when we countered at one point – 5/10

Gervinho – Much like the Ox, Geo didn’t have much to do, didn’t have enough time on the ball – 5/10

Sagna definitely better than 7. He has improved after his operation. Must be something the doctors adjusted. Did you noticed he was quicker and more powerful, now. Also, his crossing had improved by leaps.

How wonderful game it was.I congratulate the manager to select the strong squad that understand their business in the pitch.I had been saying several times. When wenger include Djourou and Ramsey in the first eleven obviously that game we loose or we draw.Because their football skills is below.

I hope RVP is out for Wednesday too (Only for Wednesday mind). He has an amazing knack of picking up injuries whilst on international duty. I might get my Mrs to snog him. She’s got a cold at the moment and that should knock him back for a few days.

I agree with shockandawe. Gawd how I dread international matches especially friendlies just when we’re doing well, ban ’em all I say! and stick to club games. Deep down inside the majority of fans would agree with this policy…..

Wenger must play roisky down the middle all the time and not on the wing. he is a far better player through the middle. THe blessing is that we have wing players now in ox, gerv, walcott, ben so he doesnt have to play him on the flank where he is lost and too slow.
