Arsenal are among five clubs tracking Lyon midfielder Houssem Aouar ahead of a potential summer move.
The 21-year-old has established himself as a regular starter for Lyon in the last three seasons, making 133 appearances and scoring 24 goals in all competitions for the Ligue 1 club to date.
Aouar has yet to be capped for the France national team but has featured regularly for the Under-21 side and it seems the midfielder has attracted interest from several European clubs as a result.
Along with Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United, Juventus and Real Madrid are all believed to be monitoring Aouar, whose contract at Lyon expires in 2023.
Its thought that Mikel Arteta wants to bolster his midfield options this summer and Aouar has been added to his shortlist.
However, with considerable amount of time left on Aouar’s contract and a £65million valuation for the player, Arteta may well have to look elsewhere – especially if he has a limited budget to spend this summer.
