Arsenal youngster Bukayo Saka has recently been receiving a lot of praise after a good performance for the Gunners’ against Manchester United during a 1-1 draw in the Premier League. However, he would have played even better with the presence of one individual playing behind him.

After manager Unai Emery received a lot of criticism about leaving out Mesut Ozil from the squad entirely, he also played three defensive midfielders against a depleted Red Devils’ side that was vulnerable. This did not please the Emirates faithful as a lack of creativity effectively cost them three points.

The personal differences that the manager and Ozil have are now starting to cost the team crucial points in the Premier League. With the Germany international having the capability of orchestrating play towards the wide players and playing balls for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to run on to, it was an opportunity missed for the Gunners to edge closer to the top of the pile.

On the chalkboard

First of all, whatever the issues are between Unai Emery and Mesut Ozil need to stop immediately. The amount of quality that the World Cup winner can bring to his side is scintillating.

The Gelsenkirchen-born midfielder has proved in the past few seasons that any moment of quality from the German can win points in football matches. During the 2015/16 campaign, the German scored six goals and conjured up 19 assists in 35 games for the club. He has proved to be an essential resource for the club.

After a recent carjacking incident involving teammate Sead Kolasinac, the Daily Mail believe that this could be a factor in the German not getting any game time and wanting to leave the club.

Giving Ozil’s creative ability and putting it together with Bukayo Saka’s potential, makes an exciting package for Arsenal fans. After the disappointment of Old Trafford on Monday, the Bournemouth game is a great way to illustrate the team’s creativity with Ozil starting alongside Matteo Guendouzi.
