Arsenal defender Rob Holding put in another notable display against Watford at the weekend.
The Gunners had to battle for a 2-0 win over the Hornets, and the 23-year-old was a key figure in keeping their opponents out.
The club’s man of the match nomination went to Holding and fans on Twitter thought the award was richly deserved:

Rock solid Holding……
He needs more game time.— Akpoghene Samuel (@akpolopez) 1 October 2018
Many are hoping that Holding keeps his place in the side once Sokratis returns from injury:
Fully deserved it. Holding and sokratis need to build a partnership.

He really did. Hope either he or Sokratis partners Kos when he's back fit. I am absolutely fed up with Mustafi. The amount of silly fouls he gives away and thoughtless moments drives me mad.

Just make sure he starts with Sokratis next game @UnaiEmery_

It will be interesting to see what manager Unai Emery decides when Sokratis is fit. Shkodran Mustafi has continued to struggle for form while the Greek international has been solid, if not spectacular.
The Arsenal goal was living a charmed life on occasion at the weekend, and many fans will be hoping that Holding can keep his place.
The Gunners travel to Qarabag on Thursday, and with Sokratis having seemingly recovered from a dead leg he sustained against Everton, we shall see who the manager picks as his favoured centre-half pairing.
