Arsenal goalkeeper Petr Cech put in a top-class performance against Everton yesterday.
The veteran made a number of saves to keep the Gunners’ clean sheet intact and helped his side to a 2-0 win at the Emirates.
Cech’s contract expires at the end of the season, and some fans on Twitter think the 36-year-old is deserving of a new deal:
Still one of the best shot stoppers in the world imo. Deserves a new contract

Let him stay, he will become goalkeeper coach in the near future

Yes, do it on a Season by season basis.

New deal to continue as no.2 goalkeeper. He's an absolutely brilliant ambassador for the club and has real experience at the top level that we can't lose. He seems like a top man as well and I'd hate to lose him if I'm honest

Others were not so sure about a contract extension:
he'll be 37 in may and is declining, he's also on a big wage id imagine, would be stupid to extend him.

Tough Q. Does he deserve an extension? Yes, he's a legend and a gent. Should we extend it? No, he's 37 next year. Coaching role makes sense

No. Let him go and sign someone like Donnaruma

Much may depend on what Unai Emery thinks of Bernd Leno. The German was signed by the recruitment team for £22.5m in the summer, but the Arsenal boss has favoured Cech since the start of the campaign.
The 26-year-old did little to convince the manager that he is deserving of a first-team place during his only game for the club so far, in the 4-2 win over Vorskla Poltava on Thursday.
However, Emery may think his time has come to be number one once Cech’s contract runs down, but we shall have to wait and see.
