Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette seemed very pleased after Shkodran Mustafi scored the opening goal against Cardiff yesterday.
The German hasn’t been great defensively so far this campaign, but his bullet header from a corner was certainly welcome. However, he got a slap from his French team-mate for his troubles:

The Mustafi/Sokratis centre-back partnership is still in its early stages, but the porousness of the defence so far this season is a major concern. With Laurent Koscielny out until at least November, and Rob Holding the only other senior centre-half in the squad, it seems the pairing is here to stay for now.
Of course, Emery’s style of play will not be helping. With the fullbacks so high up the pitch, they have been exposed on a number of occasions. Gunners fan will just have to hope that they can outscore the opposition more times than not.
