With the BBC now even reporting that Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey is likely to leave either in January or at the end of the season, it seems the Welshman’s career at the Emirates is coming to a close.
The 27-year-old is the club’s longest serving player after joining from Cardiff City for £4.8m in 2008, and it looks almost certain, barring an unlikely u-turn, that his time at the club will end after a decade.
Some supporters on Twitter feel there are better options out there:
Cash in and get a good winger… Pay Juventus 60-75mil for Douglas Costa and we’re good.

So ramsey cant accept what we offering, better than leaving on a free, lets cash in on him.

Arsenal rescinded the contract they offered. Ramsey wants to stay. Theirs no point playing him and Ozil at the same time. So why waste 100k+ on his salary. That money is best used elsewhere like buying a winger or cb. Plus he isn’t good enough atm.

He was good player but he can be replaced

Other fans are not overly fussed by the playmaker’s likely departure:
Bye bye over rated Ramsey

Goodbye to rubbish

Ramsey can sign a pre-contract agreement with a foreign club from January 1st. If Juventus and AC Milan are keen to sign him, as the Evening Standard claims, any potential sale once the window reopens may prove unlikely.
That means he will either leave for nothing to a club on the continent or Arsenal will have to allow a move to a domestic rival for a cut-price deal. Neither scenario would be particularly satisfactory for the Gunners.
