Manchester United have joined Arsenal in their pursuit of winger Nicolas Pepe, according to (via Tribal Football).

The Ivorian was originally linked with at the beginning of the month, but it seems that their Premier League rivals have now also entered the race for the player.

Pepe has had a superb start to the season for Lille. He scored a hat-trick against Amiens in a 3-2 away win on Saturday, taking his tally to four from the opening five Ligue One fixtures.

The 23-year-old has not only been scoring goals but also creating them too. He contributed two assists in the 3-0 home win against late last month, while he provided one in the 3-1 victory over in the first game of the campaign.

Pepe was actually very close to joining Lyon before the closed in August. reported that the French side had a €30m (£27m) bid accepted by but the player turned down the move.
