Arsenal winger Reiss Nelson has scored his first goal for Hoffenheim after coming off the bench for the Bundesliga game against Dusseldorf.
The 18-year-old bagged the equaliser with his side 1-0 down, but it didn’t prove to be decisive as their opponents scored from the penalty spot just two minutes:

Fans were however delighted that Nelson made an instant impact on his debut:
Just what this wonder kid needs minutes at a high level week in week out. Can’t wait to see you in an arsenal shirt as our no1 winger next year

I’m so glad we’ve only loaned out Reiss Nelson. He’s such a prospect for our clubs future but it’s vital he gets a good amount of game time.
I can see him starting for us next season if we don’t bring in a World Class winger.#AFC https://t.co/rkUzpNYyVN

The teenager signed a new four-year deal with the Gunners prior to agreeing to a season-long loan spell with Hoffenheim. Considering he had spent barely 15 minutes on the pitch before scoring his first goal for the Bundesliga side, he couldn’t have made a better first impression.
Arsenal fans will hope his performance will lead to his first start in Hoffenheim’s next game against Shakhtar Donetsk in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
