Arsenal have undergone a significant restructure under the guidance of Unai Emery, who has drafted in five new signings ahead of his first campaign at the Emirates Stadium.
The Gunners have also witnessed a number of departures, with Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla among those to leave on free transfers, and more than four could follow in the final weeks of the summer transfer window.
According to Football.London, a major clear-out could take place throughout August that would see a number of fringe players leave the club – and there is also the possibility that the Gunners could lose a star man.
Speaking in a Q&A, Arsenal journalist Charles Watts said:
“You have to remember that players can still be sold to clubs in Europe until the end of August – It doesn’t have to be done by next Thursday.
“I think Joel Campbell, Lucas Perez, Chuba Akpom, David Ospina and Carl Jenkinson will all go – Welbeck and Ramsey could as well obviously depending on what happens with their contracts.”
