Arsenal are growing increasingly concerned with the contract situation of Aaron Ramsey, who has entered the final 12 months of his contract.
The Gunners are determined to retain the services of the Wales international but are wary that the 27-year-old could run down his contract in a similar fashion to Alexis Sanchez, who left to join Manchester United in January.
Arsenal are locked in negotiations with Ramsey’s entourage but speculation has emerged to suggest that Unai Emery is ready to approve a departure this week if no agreement is reached – and further speculation has orientated around Ramsey’s demands.
Some had suggested that Ramsey was looking for a whopping £300k-a-week to extend his spell at the Emirates Stadium but the company who serves as the Wales international’s agents rebuffed those claims on social media.

Emery wants Ramsey to be a key part of his side at Arsenal this season, who commence their campaign against Manchester City on Sunday.
