Arsenal are set for a busy summer transfer window as they seek to rejuvenate their side after another disappointing campaign, which could lead to a number of departures.
One of those likely to be on the way out of the Emirates Stadium is Spain veteran Lucas Perez, who spent just one year in the Premier League before returning to Deportivo La Coruna on-loan last summer.
Perez has struggled to impress back in LaLiga, despite scoring seven goals and contributing six assists, as Deportivo were relegated to the second-division, meaning another return to the club for Perez is highly unlikely.
A move away from Arsenal seems to be a certainty though and The Daily Mirror quotes Perez’s agent as confirming his client’s interest in a potential switch to join Lazio.
“He still has two years left on his contract with Arsenal, so we need to talk to them first. He likes the idea of playing for Lazio, but it’s still too early to talk about it.”
Lazio have enjoyed a fine season in Serie A this season, needing just one point from their final game this weekend to secure Champions League football next term.
