French Giants join Arsenal in being linked with £43.6m rated Brazilian speedster

Paris Saint-Germain are the latest team to join the hunt for Bordeaux’s €50m (£43.6m) rated winger Malcom, according to France Football (via Sport Witness).

The Brazilian was heavily linked with Arsenal and Tottenham in the January transfer window, although speculation about a move to England has cooled since then.

Bayern have also reportedly looked at the 21 year old, but the club’s current manager Jupp Heynckes has since denied the Bundesliga’s interest in the player.

Despite the fact many clubs have distanced themselves from making a move for him, Malcom has continued to state publicly that he would like a move away from Bordeaux. Just last month, he was quoted by the Daily Mail as saying:

“The Premier League is also a very interesting option. I learned the language quickly, had no major difficulties. French was much harder, so in England I would be fine, but in the end, I’d integrate anywhere.”

After the signings of both Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Henrikh Mkhitaryan in January, the prospect of signing the Brazilian Under 23 international had diminished significantly.

However, with the loss of pace in wide areas since the departures of both Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Theo Walcott , the possibility snapping up a pacey winger like the Bordeaux star cannot be ruled out.
