Arsenal are set for a major rebuild this summer after another disappointing Premier League campaign has left the Gunners on the verge of missing out on a top-four finish for the second year in a row.
Significant investment is expected across the squad and plenty of attention is likely to be focused on the club’s midfield areas, as both Jack Wilshere and Santi Cazorla are both set to leave on free transfers in the coming months as things stand.
That would leave Arsenal with only Aaron Ramsey, Granit Xhaka and Mohamed Elneny as recognised senior central midfielders in the squad and the Gunners are said to be eyeing a versatile, young addition to improve their depth.
Italian outlet CalcioMercato state Arsenal are one of a number of European sides to submit an offer to Atalanta’s highly-rated midfield ace Dejan Kulusevski, who has secured seven assists for the club’s U19’s this season.
Whilst the Serie A side are keen to retain his services, Kulusevski is yet to make a senior appearance for the club and is attracting a wealth of interest heading into the summer window.
