Arsenal are set for a major rebuild this summer and could see significant departures from their squad at the end of the season, some of whom will come as a blow to the Gunners.
Jack Wilshere’s contract is rapidly approaching it’s end and the chances of the England international leaving the Emirates Stadium are growing rapidly, with no sign of an extension being signed before he’s available for free.
One side linked with the services of the Gunners ace is AC Milan, who are due to clash with Arsenal in the Europa League at the Emirates Stadium this evening, and the Italian side’s manager Gennaro Gattuso has spoken with plenty of praise towards the midfielder ahead of the game.
Speaking to reporters, Gattuso said:
“I think he can play in any league. He’s a very different sort of player. He’s got the personality of an English footballer, but the same quality of a Spanish player – two different cultures, which I like a lot.”
“He might not be super fast but he has great skills, he’s very technical. When he gets the ball, he knows exactly where to send it, he gets the right pace, he can change a game.”
“He can play central midfield or further out. He had a few physical problems but he’s got great talent. He can still express a lot and give a lot.”
