Arsenal are set for a huge test this summer as they seek to bolster their ranks ahead of next season, as they aim to battle back towards the biggest honours in football.
A disappointing campaign has seen the Gunners have all their eggs firmly in the Europa League basket and it all comes down to tomorrow’s clash with AC Milan, where Arsenal host a 2-0 advantage from the first-leg.
Regardless of Arsenal’s successes between now and the end of the season, major investment is required to boost the side and reports from UOL Desportes claim that Brazilian starlet Maycon is being chased by Arsenal.
The 20-year-old Brazilian, currently with Corinthians in his home nation, saw a move to Shakhtar Donetsk collapse during the January transfer window and that opens the door for Arsenal to land the midfielder this summer.
Napoli are also stated to be chasing the youngster but Maycon has made a switch to Arsenal his ‘priority’, increasing the likelihood of the north London side landing the South American starlet.
