Arsenal look set to miss out on Barcelona midfielder Rafinha with Inter Milan close to sealing a loan move for the Brazilian, according to Goal.com.
Catalan publication Sport reported last week that the Gunners had submitted an offer, along with Inter and Celta Vigo, for the 24 year old, but they also said that Inter were the favourites to capture the player’s signature.
There were however doubts about Rafinha’s move to Italy. Inter were keen on a six month loan deal, but there was disagreement over the amount that the Italian club would need to pay to sign the midfielder permanently at the end of the season.
The Serie A side were looking to offer €20m for the player in the summer, but Barca wanted closer to €28m. Goal.com report that a compromise has now been reached between the two clubs.
Rafinha has been out of action for nine months with a knee injury, but has been fit since the beginning of January, and wanted a move away from the Camp Nou to get more first team football.
