West Ham United have entered the race for Sevilla midfielder Steven N’Zonzi, according to the Mirror journalist Adrian Kajumba.
Everton are reportedly confident that they are leading the race for the 29 year old, with Arsenal also interested in the France international, but it seems the Hammers are looking to step in by holding talks with the player this week.
N’Zonzi was pictured arriving at Gatwick airport, which could suggest that talks with West Ham are soon to be held, but as the midfielder has a son who lives in London, it’s not wise to read too much into it.
Arsenal have been heavily linked with N’Zonzi in the Spanish media where El Gol have reported that the Gunners were close to a deal for the Frenchman, but the Mirror believe Everton are the team who are the favourites.
The fact that Toffees boss Sam Allardyce has worked with N’Zonzi before at Blackburn Rovers would perhaps suggest the Merseyside club do have the edge, but any club will have to meet Sevilla’s asking price, which Mundo Deportivo report is €35m
