Paris Saint-Germain forward Neymar has recommended team mate Julian Draxler to Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi, according to Diario Gol.
The Arsenal and Liverpool target has been in and out of the PSG team this season, and there has been growing speculation that the German international will leave the Parc des Princes in the not too distant future.
Diario Gol reports that Neymar rates Draxler highly, and he has been made aware that PSG will be selling the 24 year old for €40m (£35.3m). He therefore told Messi that Barca should consider signing Draxler.
The Catalan club are reportedly pursuing Liverpool’s Philippe Coutino as well as Mesut Ozil, but Draxler has not been mentioned recently as a possible target. Will that change now that Neymar has reportedly talked to Messi? It remains to be seen.
Diario Gol say the main intent behind the Brazilian’s recommendation is to remove competition for his own place at PSG while also giving some friendly advice to one of his former team mates.
