Inter Milan are lining up a summer bid for Udinese midfielder Jakub Jankto, according to Tuttosport. The Czech international is a target for the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea, but the Nerazzurri are said to be determined to sign the 21 year old.
The Italian newspaper says that Udinese will not consider any bids for the midfielder in the January transfer window, and this could play into the hands of Inter, who would not be able to compete with the Gunners if they made a bid in the winter market.
However, next summer is a different story. Inter have strong contacts with Jankto’s agent, Giuseppe Riso, and they believe they can convince Udinese with a player plus cash offer, in line with their deal for Sampdoria’s Milan Skriniar that saw the Slovakian move to the Giuseppe Meazza back in July.
Jankto is said to be valued at anything between €15m and €25m, Tuttosport reports, and although they believe they will face strong competition from the Premier League (a league the Czech star has stated he wants to play in), Inter are hopeful a deal can be done.
The Serie A leaders face Udinese this weekend, and it is believed the two clubs’ directors will be discussing a deal for Jankto at the match.
