Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their pursuit of Real Madrid midfielder Dani Ceballos.
The Gunners were linked with a move for the 21-year-old earlier this week and it is believed the Spain Under-21 international is looking for a Bernabeu exit this January to secure more first-team football, having played just 186 minutes for Real Madrid so far this season.
However, Italian publication Calciomercato.com (via Tribalfootball) claim Arsenal will have competition from AC Milan for Ceballos’ signature next month.
The new Rossonerri boss Gennaro Gattuso will have cash to splash this winter and look to improve the club’s depth, while Arsene Wenger may also look to strengthen his midfield department in hope of securing a top four finish in the Premier League and progress further in the Europa league competition.
Cellabos has featured 14 times for Real in all competitions so far this season since his move from Real Betis over the summer.
