Arsenal will not pay above £30m for Paris Saint-Germain playmaker Julian Draxler, according to the Sun.
The tabloid reports that the Gunners have contacted PSG about the 23 year old’s availability but have been told that the player will only be sold for £40m in the January transfer window.
Draxler was signed from Wolfsburg for €40m only last January, and it looks as though the French club are not willing to take a loss on the German international. Despite reports that the midfielder is unsettled at the Parc des Princes due to a lack of game time, his statistics for this season suggest this is not the case.
PSG manager Unai Emery has employed him in a more withdrawn central midfield role this season but he has started 14 games so far this campaign, including two of the clubs last three competitive matches before the winter break.
The Ligue One side do however have substantial losses from the signing of Neymar last summer, and the impending permanent deal for Kylian Mbappe next year, which could force them into selling Draxler to stay within UEFA Financial Fair Play rules.
