Arsenal could try to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler on loan in the January transfer window, according to L’Equipe (via the Express).
The German international has been playing pretty regularly for PSG this campaign but manager Unai Emery has reportedly told him he can look for another club when the window reopens.
Draxler signed from Wolfsburg for €40million just under a year ago, and has made 40 appearances for the Ligue One side. The arrivals of both Neymar and Kylian Mbappe have however meant that the German has been forced to play in a deeper role, rather than in his favoured wide position in a front three.
The switch in position hasn’t really had an effect on his performances however, with his last start against Angers before the international seeing him score a goal and provide an assist in a 5-0 win. The attacking midfielder was however dropped to the bench in favour of Javier Pastore for the 4-1 victory over Nantes at the weekend.
