Racing club striker Lautaro Martinez says he is not currently thinking about a move to Europe.

Spanish newspaper AS believes that Arsenal are among six clubs, including Manchester City, Valencia, Real Madrid, Monaco and Atletico Madrid, that are tracking the 20 year old’s progress.

The Madrid based publication however say Atletico are the ones in pole position to sign the forward with a €12million transfer for next summer practically agreed. Martinez however doesn’t seem to be indicating he will be moving to Europe any time soon. In an interview with El Grafico, he says:

“I’m going to follow along the same line, the same way: to train, to surpass myself, to learn from the players next to me. My representatives and my old man played football, so they advise me. I do not have fear. Although the fear is always [there], at this moment I do not feel it, because I am in Racing and I am well. If it’s my turn to go to Europe, I want to keep growing and playing. I just want to play.”

Martinez has scored seven times in 11 appearances for Argentina’s under 20 side, while for his club side Racing Club, he has so far hit the back of the net nine times since making his senior debut against Crucero in November 2015. He hasn’t managed to score this season for Racing however, having featured three times in the Copa Sudamericana and once in the league.
