AC Milan will look to trump Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain for Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez in the January transfer window, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish publication report that the Rossoneri are lining up a €85m offer in order to beat City and PSG to the 28 year old’s signature. With the Chilean international having just nine months remaining on his current deal, and no prospect of a new contract being agreed, the Gunners would have to seriously consider such a huge sum from the Serie A club.

The sizeable fee is designed to take both City and PSG out of the running. Pep Guardiola’s side are said to have kept their £60m offer on the table, with the same salary for Sanchez, while the French club are seeking a replacement for striker Edinson Cavani.

Milan spent €200m in the summer and it seems their spending spree looks likely to continue in January, if the bid for Sanchez does indeed happen.
